on solving problems
Over the years, I have noticed that my brain likes to solve other people's problems. It could even provide uneeded advice or say something unhelpful like, "it's not a big deal."
It seems so logical:
- You learn that there is a problem.
- Your brain works on a solution.
- You share it.
- ???
- Profit.
But in my experience, it's far from the truth. Some problems are too complex, or nobody actually wants to solve them.
When I think about it, it's the same for me. I know I have some things to take care of, but there's always a "but."
I can even think of steps to deal with them, but it's more complicated than that. Sometimes, I just prefer to vent about them and leave things in a limbo zone.
Nowadays, I focus on simply listening and supporting others, rather than trying to solve their problems.
